She says there are many types of human hair extensions to fit clients’ needs, from clip-in bangs to camouflage thinning hair in front, to half or full-head extensions to lengthen and thicken hair, to clip-on pony tails that add length, or a wig for those who are balding.
The staff consults discreetly with people in private suites before coming up with a customized solution.

Cut and color techniques also bring out the best in each client.
The Sahag Cut is a dry technique that staff member Chardrielle studied in NYC. “It’s a precision texturized cut that creates angles surrounding the face to bring out a person’s best features,” she says. “It’s a wonderful technique and our entire staff will be certified and trained with Sahag by June.”
For gentlemen who might have considered hair color but never tried it, the salon offers a host of barely-there techniques they call “guylights.” For instance, the Hawaii 5-0 color treatment lends a subtle, sun-kissed look that gives the appearance of just having returned from a beach vacation.
Clients looking for a secluded experience will appreciate the spacious private suites. “With a styling chair and shampoo bowl; these spacious rooms are self-contained and ultra-private,” says Sandi.
Put Your Feet Up
The reception is as cozy and inviting as a family room, with comfy leather chairs around a marble-topped coffee table facing a flatscreen television. A bar-height dining room table invites guests to enjoy a snack from the coffee, tea and candy station.
Not surprisingly, Sandi reports that people often come early and stay after their appointments simply to hang out. “Thursday nights are like gentlemen’s nights around here,” she says laughing. “They like to kick back and crowd around the television.”
Giving Back
Sandi’s life changed dramatically in 2008 when her husband Dave passed away suddenly. “The best thing I could gain from dealing with all the grief was that he would have wanted me to focus forward and help others, which I’m dedicated to doing,” she says.
This attitude spread to her close-knit staff as well, who share a drive to pay it forward.
They are continually planning charity events. IIn December the salon threw a fundraiser that netted more than $4,000 for a local cancer patient. “We made it fun to help others by getting all the students involved and giving them blue hair streaks,” says Sandi.
